Well I got over my cold, but now I've started sneezing again. Oh well

trick or treater for halloween, people just don't seem to be into it around here very much.

We had Lilith for bonfire night, as her parents were having a bonfire, and she hated it, everytime a firework went off she was scared stiff the poor little thing. She was even jumping in her sleep.

I've been busy lately catching up with some journalling, and then I started getting together the 25 days of Christmas package I have to send. My partner is quite hard, as she doesn't like baths/shower things and candles, which I would have put in, but I've got together most of them now, and have been busy making a few of them. I would post pictures, but I don't want her to accidently come across my blog and spoil the suprise! You will have to wait until after Christmas for the pictures. Or maybe I will blog about each one daily through December, wait and see.....

Freezing!

I don't know about you, but I'm sat here freezing cold with the recent change in weather. My poor little mouse hand is like an ice cube, me thinks I shall have to get my gloves out soon!

On top of that I am also full of cold, and can't stop sneezing, which is depressing, but I'll live.

Good news is that I have an interview tomorrow, the first I've been offered since February, which I am happy about. Will let you know tomorrow how that goes.

I have been doing some more journalling lately, which I'm enjoying mostly. Have just set up some new swapbot swaps for journalling pages.

Are we all ready for Halloween? I'm not! LOL I'm not a great fan really, no children to take out, maybe in a few years when Lilith is older we will see about taking her then, but until that happens I'll stay at home where its nice and warm!

Well I had an email from the lady and it got included!

I'm so super happy about it.

Its only an online guide, but still it made my day.

I've just sat down to watch Emmerdale, and then I shall be watching Corrie, and then Eastenders, and then Corrie again. Such a fun evening!

I'm home all alone since my mum and dad have gone out to meet one of mums old work friends.

I'm really excited about the round robin journal swap, and can't wait for it to start in November, and it will be going on until March! There are 8 of us in it, and we will each be writing 5 entries in each others journals.

I have a real craving for some cheesecake at the moment, thanks to the British Birds 'what I just ate thread' in which we have been discussing cheesecake and other delightful puddingy foods.

I won the bingo in the British Birds too, and the host of this round won mine in the last go! So now its my go to host again. I have picked the 30 words today, they are all food and drink themed, which we haven't had before.

Off to watch TV for a bit now before I sit down to do some more journalling.

Weekend Fun

Lilith came to sleep on Friday, and she's still here! Currently curled up fast asleep at the side of me. Bless her she looks so cute.

I was up until 1am this morning chatting with a fellow swapper on the swapbot gabbly chat box, that was so much fun! Lilith then got me up at 7.30, which is good for her.

We went to town as usual for breakfast, and then to Grandma's. After we had done there we headed to the Craft shop at Spen, since we needed to get some card cut for journal covers, only the guy wasn't there to do it for us! So now we will have to go back :D

I'm hosting another british birds journal round robin like the one Ellie did earlier in the year. This time round there are 8 of us, compared to the 4 last time round. It should be fun though, I'm looking forward to it.

Am going now to finish watching the X Factor - Laura to win!

Overdue update

I haven't updated my blog in a while, so I'm going to do it now, and I am going to keep up with updating it. I am I am I am!

I've not been really creative in ages now, can't remember the last ATC I made!

I am really into journalling, and love running the theme a day swaps.

I'm more into photography now though, and I want to become a professional photographer, I just need to get some training done. One of my photos has been shortlisted for inclusion in a local guide, which has boosted my spirits alot.

Haven't really been upto much else. I was on holiday last week, that was great fun, the weather stayed nice 6 days out of 7, but the day it rained, it poured all day!

Oh and Lilith turned one at the end of September, it doesn't seem 2 mins since she was born!

Well I have journalling to do now, but I will keep this updated!

So both Clair and Tracey have received their little boxes now so I can reveal the contents to the world.

Above was sent to Tracey for winning YGM and below were sent to Clair for her birthday

I had to share these ATC's I made for the established ATC swappers first set of Alphabet cards. I adore the A letter one, you can't see the colours of the letters but I coloured them in using sharpies and they match the colours on the background. The F was made using a page from the dictionary coloured in.

Finally I had to share this picture of my niece with you all, don't you think she looks so cute! She was such a little poser.

I planned on making some more bottlecaps yesterday, or at least painting some ready to fill, but instead I looked after Lilith, and so no crafting got done, I think if I tried it would all get pinched and eaten as she loves to try and eat anything she can get her hands on, she especially likes the wheels I got for Mario Kart on the Wii!

I did start Ellie's journal though for the journal swap. I found that quite fun to do, I just hope I am writing the right things. I can't tell you what they are because I don't want Ellie to come across them before June when she gets it back, but I will post more about it all then when I get back from my holiday!

These are the ATC's I made for the Established ATC Swappers first swap. The theme was Waterfall ATC's and these are what I came up with. Fairies was my chosen theme and butterflies was hers.

I sent these 2 ATC's to a new swapper, Kismet to help her get some ratings so people would let her join in with swaps. Hope she likes them!

This is the bracelet I made with the bottlecaps I blogged about awhile ago. I think it turned out nicely

I haven't blogged much lately, not really had anything to blog about.

I've been busy making bottlecaps, here are all the ones I have avaliable at the moment for trade or to sell.

Some of them are magnets and some can be made into keyrings, phone charms or necklaces.

I'm trying to build up a collection so I have enough to fit on a website or to open a etsy or dawanda shop to put them in.

All three of the Dotee dolls I have made. I love them, but don't think I shall be making many more, unless I saw a swap I really had to do then maybe I would. Each one took me about 2 hours to make, and I would rather spend the time doing papercrafts I think.

These are some bottlecaps I made recently for a swap-bot swap. They were made for agonysdecay, and were quite tough to make as I like pretty pink sparkly things and isn't really into all that so I had to come up with alternatives.

I haven't really made much else this week apart from my notebook which I have blogged about below.

I got bored and decided to alter myself a notebook to carry around with me in my handbag for all the notes I might want to keep.

I tied loads of ribbon and fibers to the binding to use as page markers for when I write the important things down so I can find them again!

So I managed to finish my second dotee doll yesterday. I had to change the hanging loop as I couldn't get it to attach securely. I love this one, the hair is so cool!

I would have continued and made more but I had a distraction, in the form of my beautiful baby neice Lilith. She's 5 months old now and an absolute angel. Here's the latest pic of her, with her auntie Clare.

I also got my birthday present from my Great Gran yesterday. My birthday isn't until June but she knows it is something I wanted and decided I should have it now instead of waiting. It's a Swarovski Crystal figurine of Tinkerbell. It's limited to production in 2008 and is adorable.

Today I went to visit my Great Grandma with my mum whilst my dad went out with his brother. We took a little of out crafting stuff and I made this 3 ATC's.

The purple one is for a button ATC swap I am in, and the 2 Winnie the Pooh ones are just because I like Winnie the Pooh.

I took some pictures of the bottlecaps I made the other day. These ones below I adored, until I saw what had happened with the glaze. You proberbly can't see it in the picture but the glaze has left holes under where it has set. It's so weird I have never seen it before but hopefully I will be able to remove the buttons and use them with some other caps.

The ones below are really pretty until you look closely. The paper I printed on was a bit thin and so it has just soaked the liquid up, but it will be ok, I will just make it into a bracelet for me instead of selling it, no big deal right?!

Dotee Doll

No pictures of the bottlecaps I'm afraid, although I do have a picture of my first dotee doll, kinda cute but I think the second one will turn out much nicer.

They are great fun, although take quite a bit of time, at least my first did, 2 hours almost, and getting the components ready for number 2 took at least 45 mins and I haven't sewn the body together yet, although everything is ready except the hair. Still they are fun, and you can only get quicker with practice yeah?!

Bottlecaps

I'm sooo sad! I've just got up and gone and looked at my bottlecaps that I made yesterday to turn into bracelets, and they are ruined! The liquid had gone funny and somehow I have ended up with holes in the middle where there is no glaze left. It's really weird and I'm so sad as I really liked them! The other one I made the paper has soaked the liquid up and so you can see right through it and see the metal fastening underneath.

Will have to see if there is anything that can be done, because they were my favourite bottlecaps I have made yet.

So I signed up to this blog thing a while ago, but never did anything with it, but I have now decided that I shall keep a blog of the things I make and do starting today.
Today I started making a couple of bottlecap bracelets, I don't have any pictures yet but I will post them as I do.
I also pictured all my avaliable ATCs to put on flickr so I can try and swap them with others. Here are my faves at the moment
